Hydrangea Autumn Reprise-4 Liners

Hydrangea Autumn Reprise-4 Liners

Includes four plants packed in 4" pots for the price listed. Ā They are ready to plant into the ground upon arrival. Ā Be sure to keep them well watered while they are getting established.

Hydrangea quercifolia Autumn RepriseĀ

Light: Full sun to partial shade

Hardiness Zones: 5-9

Height: 3.5-5 feet

Spread: 4-6 feet

These oakleaf hydrangeas are a beautiful addition to spring offerings as they are one of the first to flower. Ā They start out green as in the photos, then turn to a bright red color as they age. Ā The foliage also turns an amber red color that is great for fall arrangements. Ā Please note that this plant flowers on second year wood, meaning that if you cut all the foliage back in fall or winter, it will not have blooms. Ā So unlike the hydrangea paniculatas that get coppiced every year in cut flower production, leave this plant each year and prune selectively. Ā Or we just cut the blooms we want and leave the rest of the plant for next year's productions.
